DB Mirror

Clone production databases to staging or local environments. Built in Rust for speed and safety.

About this project

DB Mirror copies a production database to a staging or local schema so you can debug against real data without ad-hoc dump and restore steps.

Configuration is a TOML file with primary and secondary MySQL connection details. Logging uses env_logger, so verbosity is controlled with RUST_LOG.

The tool is still under active development. There is also an earlier Node.js version for the same workflow.

Highlights

CLI tool: TOML-configured copy from a primary database to a secondary host.

Rust-powered: Written in Rust for speed when moving production-sized schemas locally.
