Lnky

Privacy-focused Progressive Web App that expands shortened URLs and removes tracking parameters.

About this project

Lnky expands shortened URLs and strips tracking query parameters before you share or open a link. The goal is simple: stop leaking a profile of who you are and who you send links to.

The frontend is a Vue.js TypeScript PWA. A Rust backend follows redirects, expands short links, and returns a cleaned URL plus a preview. On Android, installing the PWA as a share target lets other apps hand links straight to Lnky.

Links can be saved offline on the device. iOS PWA share-target support is limited, so the iOS path is paste-and-clean from the home screen.

Highlights

Full-stack architecture: Vue.js PWA frontend plus a Rust backend API for URL expansion and link previews.

Privacy features: Client-side tracker removal with secure backend URL expansion. Nothing extra is attached to the cleaned link.

PWA capabilities: Offline support, service workers, and Android share-target integration for cleaning links from other apps.
